# WiFi Without Walls

> Starlink and event WiFi kits, shipped to your door. We rent Starlink satellite internet kits for trips, events, and production work in places with no usable cell or wired service.

## What we actually do

- We rent Starlink Mini satellite internet kits by the day, week, or longer. We are a rental company, not a Starlink reseller or an ISP.
- We are based in Colorado. In the Denver area and along the Front Range you can pick up the kit or get same-day local delivery.
- Everywhere else in the United States, the dish kit ships to you ahead of your rental dates. We do NOT operate pickup counters or warehouses outside Colorado. Any location page on this site describes where the equipment is used, not a storefront we staff.
- The portable power station and solar panel are local-delivery items in Colorado only. They cannot be shipped. Outside Colorado, customers supply their own power.
- Each rental includes a captive portal served by the router itself, which shows live dish telemetry and a real obstruction map so customers can see which part of the sky is blocked and reposition.

Each page includes location-specific satellite line-of-sight guidance (canyon walls, tree canopy, open sky), which is the factor that determines whether satellite internet works at a given site.

- [Starlink Rental for Yellowstone](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/yellowstone): Yellowstone splits into two very different skies. The geyser basins, Hayden and Lamar valleys, and the lake shores are wide open, close to a best case, park the dish anywhere with a view north. The lodgepole pine stands that cover most of the plateau are the opposite: mature lodgepole grows tall, straight, and dense, and a dish tucked into a wooded loop site will show a solid band of obstruction. In the trees, walk to the clearing or the pullout and put the dish on the tripod.
- [Starlink Rental for the Grand Canyon](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/grand-canyon): The rims are excellent: you are on a high, flat plateau with an enormous open sky, and the dish will see almost everything. The catch is below the rim. Anywhere down in the canyon, at Phantom Ranch or on a river trip, you are in a slot with a thousand feet of rock on both sides, and the usable sky is a narrow strip overhead. Expect real obstruction down there and set up in the widest part of the corridor you can find.
- [Starlink Rental for Zion](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/zion): This is the canyon-wall case. Standing on the floor of Zion Canyon, the Navajo sandstone walls rise a thousand feet or more on both sides and cut off a huge share of the sky, leaving you a strip running roughly north-south along the canyon axis. It can absolutely work, but you want the widest, most open spot you can get, the middle of a clearing rather than the base of a wall, and you should expect a visible blocked band on the obstruction map. Up on the plateau, or out at Kolob Terrace, the sky opens back up and it is easy.
- [Starlink Rental for the Great Smoky Mountains](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/great-smoky-mountains): This is the worst obstruction case of any destination on this list, and it is worth saying plainly. The Smokies are old-growth-adjacent Eastern hardwood and hemlock, tall, broad-crowned, and dense, and in leaf-on season a site under canopy can be substantially blocked. Cades Cove and the open balds are easy. A tucked-in forest campsite may not work at all without moving the dish to a clearing, a field edge, or a parking area. If you are booking a cabin, a dish on the deck or in the yard beats one under the trees every time.
- [Starlink Rental for Moab](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/moab): Close to ideal. High desert, low vegetation, and enormous open sky mean a dish here usually sees almost everything with no fuss. The exceptions are geometric rather than botanical: down inside a canyon (the Shafer switchbacks, parts of the Needles, a slot campsite tucked against a fin) you get the same wall problem as Zion, on a smaller scale. On the mesa tops and out on the flats, it is as easy as satellite internet gets.
- [Starlink Rental for Rocky Mountain National Park](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/rocky-mountain-national-park): Above treeline, which is a lot of this park, the sky is completely open and the dish is trivial to place. Below it, in the montane and subalpine forest that covers the campgrounds at Glacier Basin, Moraine Park, and Aspenglen, you are in lodgepole and spruce and will want a clearing. The other consideration here is terrain: in a steep drainage like Wild Basin, the valley walls themselves cut the horizon, so open ground on the valley floor beats a spot tight against the slope.
- [Starlink Rental for Grand Teton & Jackson Hole](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/grand-teton-jackson-hole): Genuinely easy. The valley floor of Jackson Hole is a wide, flat sagebrush plain with the range on one side and enormous sky everywhere else, so most sites will see nearly the whole dome. The exception is that the Tetons rise abruptly on the west, so a site tucked right against the range loses some of that horizon. Camps out on the flats or east of the river are effortless.
- [Starlink Rental for Glacier National Park](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/glacier-national-park): Mixed, and terrain-driven. Glacier's valleys are classic U-shaped glacial troughs with very steep walls, so a site at the bottom of Many Glacier or Two Medicine has a real chunk of the horizon taken out by rock. Combine that with dense conifer at valley-bottom campgrounds and it is the one northern-Rockies park where placement genuinely matters. Lake shores, meadows, and anywhere the valley widens are your best bets.
- [Starlink Rental for Big Bend](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/big-bend): Excellent, among the best on this list. Chihuahuan desert means low scrub, no canopy, and huge open horizons, so a dish in the Chisos basin flats, out at Rio Grande Village, or on a backcountry road will see nearly the whole sky. The one real exception is inside the Chisos Basin proper, which is ringed by mountains and does cut the horizon noticeably. Out on the desert floor it is effortless.
- [Starlink Rental for Death Valley](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/death-valley): As good as it gets. A basin floor with no trees, no buildings, and horizon in every direction is the textbook best case for satellite. The only obstruction worth thinking about is when you drive into a slot, Titus Canyon or the narrows, where walls close in hard and you should expect to lose most of the sky until you are back out.
- [Starlink Rental for Joshua Tree](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/joshua-tree): Very good, with a local quirk. The desert itself is open and low, so sky access is generally excellent. The quirk is the rock: campsites here are famously tucked between enormous monzogranite boulder piles, and a site wedged in a rock alcove can lose a surprising amount of horizon. Step out of the rocks into the flat and it clears immediately.
- [Starlink Rental for Olympic National Park](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/olympic-national-park): The most variable on this list. The Hoh and Quinault rainforests have enormous Sitka spruce and hemlock with heavy moss load, and that canopy is close to Smokies-bad, expect real obstruction under it and plan to move to a clearing or a river bar. The coast at Rialto or Kalaloch is superb, open ocean horizon and nothing in the way. Hurricane Ridge is likewise wide open. Pick your spot and this park swings from difficult to trivial.
- [Starlink Rental for Sedona](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/sedona): Depends entirely on whether you are on top or in the bottom. Up on the mesas and out on the dispersed forest roads, the sky is wide and it is easy. Down in Oak Creek Canyon, with red rock walls close on both sides and a mature riparian canopy of sycamore and pine along the creek, you get a double hit of rock and trees and should expect noticeable obstruction. Higher and more open is the rule here.
- [Starlink Rental for the Black Hills & Badlands](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/black-hills-badlands): Two different answers. The Badlands and the surrounding grassland are wide open, essentially unobstructed, and about as easy as Moab. The Black Hills are ponderosa pine on rolling terrain, so a site down in a gulch between wooded ridges will lose horizon in two directions at once. Ridge tops and meadows are easy; deep timbered draws are not.
- [Starlink Rental for the Outer Banks](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/outer-banks): Superb. A barrier island has no terrain and no canopy, and an ocean horizon is as unobstructed as a view gets. The only practical considerations are physical rather than geometric: get the dish above the dune line and out of salt spray, and secure it, wind here is constant and occasionally serious.

- [Starlink Rental for Burning Man](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/burning-man): The best case in this entire catalog. The playa is a dead-flat lakebed with no trees, no terrain, and 360 degrees of unbroken horizon, so the dish sees essentially the whole sky from anywhere in the city. Your problems here are not geometric. They are alkali dust, which gets into everything, heat, and power, so plan on shade, a cover when it is not in use, and a battery you have actually sized for the load.
- [Starlink Rental for Overland Expo](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/overland-expo): Straightforward. These events are held on open ground, fairgrounds, ranch land, and expo fields, precisely because they need room, so sky access is generally excellent. The only thing to watch is your own neighbors: a dish set low between two tall rigs or under an awning is the one way to create an obstruction problem on a wide open field. Get it up on the tripod and clear of the vehicles.
- [Starlink Rental for the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/albuquerque-balloon-fiesta): Very good. The park is a large open field in a wide desert valley, so the dish has clean sky in every direction. The practical caution is unique to this event: keep the dish and its cabling clear of balloon crews, chase vehicles, and envelope layout areas, a tripod in a launch lane is a hazard, not a setup.
- [Starlink Rental for the Sturgis Rally](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/sturgis): Depends where you camp. The open prairie campgrounds east of the hills are effortless. The wooded private campgrounds tucked into ponderosa gulches around Sturgis and Deadwood are the harder case, pine on both valley walls takes real sky. If you are running a vendor operation, put the dish on the tripod above the tents and canopies rather than at ground level between them.
- [Starlink Rental for Oshkosh AirVenture](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/oshkosh-airventure): Excellent, as you would hope at an airfield. Camp Scholler and the show grounds are flat open grass with cleared approaches in every direction, so the dish sees a full sky. Keep the setup low-profile and well clear of taxiways, aircraft movement areas, and any temporary flight-line barriers.
- [Starlink Rental for King of the Hammers](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/king-of-the-hammers): Ideal, essentially the same as the playa: a flat dry lakebed with no vegetation and unbroken horizon. Set up anywhere and the dish sees the whole sky. What will actually cause you trouble is dust and vibration, this is one of the harshest dust environments in motorsport, so keep the terminal covered between sessions and mount it where it is not taking constant impact.
- [Starlink Rental for Festival Camping](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/music-festival-camping): Usually easy, occasionally self-inflicted. Festival grounds are open fields, so the sky is there for the taking. The problem is almost always what you put around the dish: box trucks, stages, scaffolding, tents, and shade structures. Get the terminal on the tripod above the camp furniture, and keep it away from the lee side of a trailer.
- [Starlink Rental for Remote Weddings](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/remote-weddings): Venue-dependent, and worth checking in advance. Ranch and field venues are open and simple. The two that catch people out are barns, where the natural instinct is to put the dish indoors or under the eave where it can see nothing, and wooded or canyon venues where the tree line takes the horizon. Set the dish outside on the tripod with clear sky, and run the cable in.
- [Starlink Rental for Film & Location Production](https://wifiwithoutwalls.com/starlink-rental/film-production): Generally good, because location units already need open ground for trucks and staging. The recurring mistake is placement inside the circus: a dish set between production trailers, next to a condor, or under a silk will be obstructed by the very setup you built. Put it on the tripod at the edge of base camp with a clear view, and treat its position as part of the layout rather than an afterthought.
