Privacy policy
The short version: we collect what a rental needs, we do not sell it, and payment card numbers never touch our servers.
What we collect
When you book or request a quote, we collect your name, email, phone number, shipping address, organization if you provide one, and the details of your rental or event. During a rental we receive aggregate data-usage totals from the satellite provider for your kit (used for plan, top-up, and overage billing) and the approximate location of the kit itself, reported by the satellite network at a cell level rather than exact GPS, which we use to manage and recover our equipment. We do not see the content of your traffic or the sites you visit. When a device joins your kit's WiFi and signs in through the network page, we log the device identifier the router reports so we can bring that specific device online and manage the rental.
How we use it
To fulfill rentals: processing payment, delivering equipment, activating service for your dates, and sending you transactional updates about your order by email and, if you gave us your number, text (order and delivery updates, data-limit notices, and return reminders; reply STOP to any text to opt out). We also keep rental records for accounting and to make repeat bookings easier. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
Who processes it
We rely on a handful of processors, each receiving only what its job requires: Stripe for payments (card numbers go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers), EasyPost and its carriers for shipping labels and tracking, Uber Direct for same-day local delivery where offered, Resend for transactional email, Clerk Chat for text messages, and Starlink for satellite service and the usage and approximate-location data for your kit on your rental dates.
Retention and your choices
We keep order records as long as accounting and tax rules require. To access, correct, or delete personal information beyond that, email support@wifiwithoutwalls.com and we will handle it directly.
Cookies
The storefront sets a small number of first-party cookies, each with a specific job: a sign-in session cookie (www_customer) when you verify your phone number, kept for 30 days, so a returning visit recognizes you and can prefill the booking form; an attribution cookie (ww_attr) that remembers how you first arrived, such as a referring site or campaign link and the first page you landed on, kept for 90 days and attached to your order if you book so we know which outreach works; and a recognition cookie (www_rental) set when you follow the "view your rental" link from our emails or texts, kept for 30 days, which lets the site greet you with your live rental status. There is no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking on this site.
