Towering saguaro cacti on a Sonoran desert hillside outside Phoenix at sunset

Starlink Rental in Phoenix

The launch point for more empty country than anywhere else in the Southwest.

Phoenix is a large metro with an unserved hinterland immediately outside it. Sonoran desert dispersed camping, Sedona, the Mogollon Rim, and the Grand Canyon all stage from here.

It is also an active location-production city. A film unit shooting in the desert outside Wickenburg has no service and still needs to move dailies.

Sky and obstruction

What the dish will actually see here

Arizona is one of the easiest states in the country for a dish. Sonoran desert means low saguaro and creosote rather than canopy, and open horizon in most directions, so a setup out on BLM land or a forest road will usually see nearly the whole sky. The two exceptions to plan around are canyon country to the north, where Oak Creek and the Grand Canyon corridor genuinely restrict the view, and summer heat, which is an equipment consideration rather than a signal one.

The sign-in page shows what the dish sees in real time, so you can reposition it before a meeting or call.
