Rent Starlink for Tailgating
Tailgating is camping with a kickoff time. The Starlink Mini kit campers rent sets up in the lot in about ten minutes and connects to satellites, not the cell sites every phone in the lot is sharing.
Every phone near a stadium shares the same few cell sites, so a hotspot slows as the lot fills. A Starlink Mini connects to satellites instead. Give it a clear view of the sky and power, and your TV, phones and laptops share its connection.
We ship the kit to your door with a prepaid return label. Tailgate renters have booked a single game day and taken it to Indiana and South Carolina.
Set up in the lot
Stand the dish on its kickstand or a mount, somewhere clear of light poles, trees and the stadium itself.
Runs on a battery
Starlink rates the Mini at 20 to 40 watts on average. Every 100 watt-hours of battery runs it for about two to four hours.
Off the crowded cell sites
Your devices join the kit's WiFi, and the kit connects to satellites. The cell sites every phone in the lot is crowding are not part of that path.

The same kit campers rent: small, quick to set up, and easy to run from a battery.
Frequently asked questions
- Does Starlink work in a stadium parking lot?
- Yes, when the dish has a clear view of the sky. Light poles, trees and the stadium itself can block part of it, so set up away from them, with a clear 100° cone overhead. The free Starlink app has an obstruction checker you can run in the lot.
- Why not just use my phone's hotspot at the tailgate?
- Every phone near the stadium shares the same cell sites, so a hotspot slows as the lot fills. The Starlink kit connects to satellites instead, so that crowding is not on its path.
- How do I power a Starlink Mini at a tailgate with no hookups?
- Plug the kit's power supply into a power station or a vehicle inverter, or power the dish from a USB-C source rated at least 100W (20V/5A). Starlink says it will not run on 65W or less. It draws 20 to 40 watts on average, so every 100 watt-hours of battery gives you about two to four hours. Our power stations only go out with local pickup or delivery, so a shipped kit runs on your own power.
- Can I rent it for an away game in another state?
- Yes. We ship the kit to you with a prepaid return label, and tailgate renters have taken it to games in Indiana and South Carolina.
- How long does setup take in the lot?
- Setup takes about 10 minutes: place the dish with a clear view of the sky, plug in the power, and connect to the WiFi network printed on the kit. No technician, no account setup.
- What if I go over my data plan on game day?
- You pick a data plan at booking. If you hit the cap, messaging and the network sign-in page keep working, and you can add more data in one tap, charged to the card on file. Any usage beyond your plan and top-ups is billed per GB after your rental ends at the rate shown at booking.
