Starlink Rental for Grand Teton & Jackson Hole
Jackson has service. Ten minutes north, you are on your own.
Jackson itself is well covered and busy. The park is not. Along the inner park road, at Jenny Lake, up in the Gros Ventre, and out toward Moran, service falls away quickly, and the canyons off the range have none at all.
A lot of Teton trips are hybrid: a few days working from a rental, a few days out. The dish is what makes the second half possible.
Sky and obstruction
What the dish will actually see here
Genuinely easy. The valley floor of Jackson Hole is a wide, flat sagebrush plain with the range on one side and enormous sky everywhere else, so most sites will see nearly the whole dome. The exception is that the Tetons rise abruptly on the west, so a site tucked right against the range loses some of that horizon. Camps out on the flats or east of the river are effortless.
The sign-in page shows what the dish sees in real time, so you can reposition it before a meeting or call.
How you get it
Shipped to you. Kits ship nationwide ahead of your dates. Portable power stations and solar panels are local delivery only in Colorado.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the mountain range block the satellites?
- Only if you are set up hard against the west side. The constellation is spread across the whole sky, and the open valley gives you plenty of view.
