Rocky is ninety minutes from our door, which makes it the one destination where you get everything we have: pick the kit up yourself, or have it delivered the same day, and take the power station and solar panel with it, which we cannot ship anywhere else.
Inside the park, coverage is what you would expect from granite and elevation: some service near Estes and Grand Lake, effectively none along Trail Ridge, in Wild Basin, or at the campgrounds.
Sky and obstruction
What the dish will actually see here
Above treeline, which is a lot of this park, the sky is completely open and the dish is trivial to place. Below it, in the montane and subalpine forest that covers the campgrounds at Glacier Basin, Moraine Park, and Aspenglen, you are in lodgepole and spruce and will want a clearing. The other consideration here is terrain: in a steep drainage like Wild Basin, the valley walls themselves cut the horizon, so open ground on the valley floor beats a spot tight against the slope.
Once you are set up, the captive portal on your router draws the real obstruction map from your own dish, so you can see exactly which part of the sky is blocked and move before it costs you a call.

Local pickup and delivery. This is inside our Colorado delivery ring, so you can collect the kit or have it delivered, usually the same day, and it is the only place the portable power station and solar panel are available.
