Rocky is ninety minutes from our Denver base, where you can pick the kit up in person, get same-day delivery, or have it shipped. Denver-area pickup and delivery also include the portable power station and solar panel, which cannot be shipped.
Inside the park, coverage is what you would expect from granite and elevation: some service near Estes and Grand Lake, effectively none along Trail Ridge, in Wild Basin, or at the campgrounds.
Sky and obstruction
Above treeline, which is a lot of this park, the sky is completely open and the dish is trivial to place. Below it, in the montane and subalpine forest that covers the campgrounds at Glacier Basin, Moraine Park, and Aspenglen, you are in lodgepole and spruce and will want a clearing. The other consideration here is terrain: in a steep drainage like Wild Basin, the valley walls themselves cut the horizon, so open ground on the valley floor beats a spot tight against the slope.
