Eastern hardwood and pine forest here is tall, broad, and dense, and in leaf-on season a site under it can be substantially blocked. This is not a limitation you can power through. Plan for a clearing, a field edge, a yard, or a parking area, and get the dish up on the tripod. Leaf-off winter helps noticeably. Open ground is trivial; under the trees is the one place satellite genuinely struggles.
