A production city with the densest tree canopy in our coverage.
Atlanta is one of the largest film and television production centers in the country, and Georgia location work regularly puts units on rural land with no usable service.
The Great Smoky Mountains and the southern Appalachian backcountry are a few hours north, with thin coverage once you leave the highway.
Sky and obstruction
The Southeast is the hardest canopy region in this catalog and it deserves a direct warning. Eastern hardwood and pine forest here is tall, broad, and dense, and in leaf-on season a site under it can be substantially blocked. This is not a limitation you can power through. Plan for a clearing, a field edge, a yard, or a parking area, and get the dish up on the tripod. Leaf-off winter helps noticeably. Open ground is trivial; under the trees is the one place satellite genuinely struggles.
The sign-in page shows what the dish sees in real time, so you can reposition it before a meeting or call.
