Starlink Rental in Las Vegas

An hour out of town there is nothing, which is rather the point.

Vegas is a staging city. Death Valley, Zion, the Mojave Preserve, Johnson Valley, and a long list of desert events are all within a half-day drive, and none of them have coverage worth the name.

It also runs an enormous event and trade calendar, which produces the other rental pattern here: temporary operations that need a link the venue cannot provide.

Sky and obstruction

What the dish will actually see here

Mojave desert is close to the best satellite terrain there is. Low creosote, no canopy, and horizon in every direction mean a dish sees essentially everything. The only places you lose sky are inside canyons and washes, Titus, the Zion corridor, a slot camp, where walls close in and the view narrows to a strip.

Once you are set up, the captive portal on your router draws the real obstruction map from your own dish, so you can see exactly which part of the sky is blocked and move before it costs you a call.

How you get it

Shipped to you. The Starlink Mini kit ships anywhere in the country ahead of your dates. The portable power station and solar panel are local-delivery items in Colorado and cannot be shipped, so plan your own power for this trip.

Frequently asked questions

Can I take it to a desert event?
Yes, and that is a common booking. Bring your own power; our battery and solar are Colorado-only and cannot ship.
